These Regulations amend the National Health Service (Optical Charges and Payments) Regulations 1997 (“the Optical Regulations”) which provide for payments to be made by means of a voucher system in respect of costs incurred by certain categories of persons in connection with the supply, replacement and repair of optical appliances. These Regulations also amend the National Health Service (General Ophthalmic Services) Regulations 1986 (“the 1986 Regulations”) which contain provision for the arrangements for general ophthalmic services under the National Health Service.
Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn yn diwygio Rheoliadau'r Gwasanaeth Iechyd Gwladol (Ffioedd a Thaliadau Optegol) 1997 (“y Rheoliadau Optegol”), sy'n darparu ar gyfer taliadau i'w gwneud drwy system dalebau o ran y costau a dynnwyd gan gategorïau penodol o bobl mewn cysylltiad â chyflenwi, amnewid a thrwsio teclynnau optegol. Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn hefyd yn diwygio Rheoliadau'r Gwasanaeth Iechyd Gwladol (Gwasanaethau Opthalmig Cyffredinol) 1986 (“Rheoliadau 1986”) sy'n cynnwys darpariaeth ar gyfer trefniadau am wasanaethau opthalmig cyffredinol o dan y Gwasanaeth Iechyd Gwladol.
